Winter Sports

We’ll start our organized ski days on January 1, 2024. Please check the calendar regularly, as leaders change periodically. 

Our 2023/24 season has lots of ski outings on the calendar:

  • Some of our leaders have requested that only vaccinated skiers join their groups. Please respect their wishes
  • Designated meeting places vary by leader, some will meet inside, some will meet outside. Check the listings on the calendar

Brighton Ski Area
There will be a group skiing at Brighton the 4th Tuesday of the Month. Carpooling will be possible meeting at Quarry Village (Park City Bagels) at 8:15. You could also meet at the base of Crest Lift at 9:30

Alta Ski Area

If you are willing to lead an event please contact the monthly coordinator below to post your event. You are welcome to post your event in advance or up to the last minute – we look forward to having you lead!  If snow conditions change, or you would like to cancel your event, we can mark your event as CANCELLED on the calendar.  Please consider leading a Nordic Ski.

The Snowshoe/X-Country Essentials

  • Fluids:  water, sports drink – take more than minimum
  • Food: energy snacks, take more than minimum
  • Clothes: warm waterproof gear, layers, hat, warm waterproof boots, gloves
  • Personal: hand and toe warmers, sunglasses, health insurance card, credit card, driver’s license
  • Equipment:  fully charged cell phone with trip leader’s cell number programmed in, pocketknife, multitool, fire starter, flashlight (new batteries), first aid kit, rope, signaling mirror, whistle, Mylar “space” blanket, hiking/ski poles
  • Navigation:  map, compass, GPS

Park City Mountain/Canyons

  • Reservations are required seven days a week in the Mountain Village base area until 1:00 pm and can be made online. After 1:00 pm, all parking will be free and no reservations will be required. Reservations required Dec 9 – April 1. Reservations are free from Dec 9 – Dec 15. Paid Reservations are required from Dec 16 – April 1.
  • The fee for paid reservations is $26.65 per vehicle per day in surface lots. Reservations are free for vehicles with four or more occupants
  • Free parking is still available at the Canyons Village base area, Park City High School (on weekends and holidays), Richardson Flat and Ecker Hill.

Snowbird 

  • Snowbird will offer a variety of ways to park and enjoy the mountain, including the ability to park in free lots on a first-come, first-served basis, pay for reserved daily parking in advance or purchase a Preferred Parking Pass (sold out for the 2023-24 season). This hybrid approach allows the majority of parking areas be accessible for free, while Snowbird guests who enjoy the security of having a spot in advance can continue to do so.
